Unicorn Vets Park Surgery is part of the wider “Unicorn Vets” practice (one reviewer says the practice is “corporate”, but no group name is provided). The clinic is set up for routine companion-animal care (dogs, cats, and rabbits are specifically mentioned), with some owners noting they were redirected to another branch when this surgery was fully booked or reportedly short-staffed. Non-review information also mentions a Pet Health Club® Plus plan with consultations included, video-vet support, and a stated requirement for 7 days’ notice for food or medication orders (due to delivery changes).

After using Unicorn Vets for many years I have recently moved away from them due to them trying to make me pay for unnecessary blood tests for my aging cat. Despite insisting I needed to pay £250 for a T4 Thyroid blood test only 6 months after the last one and attesting this to new “regulations” I decided to take a second opinion with another vet. Having been given my cats history from Unicorn vets they confirmed that no blood test was needed and if it was they would charge only half that Unicorn would. When I challenged unicorn they claimed their increased cost was because they were “corporate” whatever that means. This vet is clearly trying to take advantage of those customers who have insurance (which I don’t) and charging a premium banking on insurance companies paying it. Avoid this vet, there are others out there who won’t rip you off.

Great vet

We have been using Unicorn Vets for many years. Back in the day that Kevin was here there was stability and could rely on the surgery for our needs. Increasingly now the surgery is closed on days advertised as being open and for a good month plus there was no vet employed at the practice. Whenever we needed anything we had to go to Fairfield to see a vet. The vets out in Fairfield are great, friendly and always great, but it’s not local and is a considerable drive for pets who don’t like travelling in cars. Really really hope they sort the staffing problems/lack of vets soon as it’s a real shame that the surgery is heading in this direction. Sent an email complaining of an issue we had trying to get a repeat prescription and never had a reply to my email. Come on Unicorn Vets sort it out!!

Unicorn Vets are absolutely brilliant. I usually go to the Park Surgery as they're closer to me and are my favourite, but the Fair Oak branch is also fantastic, and I’m more than happy to go there if the Park branch is fully booked. I’ve been using their services for the past 10 years and have never had a single issue—quite the opposite, in fact. The whole staff is always professional, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. As I have a bunny—who are very sensitive pets—I really appreciate how well Unicorn Vets understand his needs. They’ve helped keep him in excellent health ever since he was a tiny baby, and he's 10 years now. I’m truly grateful for the care and dedication they provide.

The vet at Unicorn Veterinary Practice was incredibly rude and unprofessional. They didn’t even look at our pet Luna, immediately pushed for a referral, and made us feel like we were wasting their time. They raised their voice, showed no compassion, and still charged us for a consultation they barely conducted. Completely dismissive and unhelpful — thankfully we managed to admit her elsewhere as otherwise she could have died! If you care about your animal and want to be treated with basic human decency, go anywhere else.

The receptionist was very sympathetic when entering ,and my dog just followed him into room without even looking back because he made big fuss of him when coming out to get him also in room before touching my dogs bad paw he sat on floor and played with him a bit he was so good ,and he listened to us also explained what he thought the problem was very clearly, this is what I look for in vet one that makes my dog feel at ease,I recommend them one hundred percent

I had an excellent experience with this vets. The staff were incredibly helpful and informative throughout the entire process. The vet who tended to Koko was exceptionally kind and gentle. He handled her with great care and made sure she felt comfortable and at ease. It is evident that Koko is in good hands, and I truly appreciate the compassionate treatment she received. I highly recommend this surgery.
